FUNDING: Title I
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 52 weeks, 37.5 hours per week, some evenings and weekends required
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: To promote the FACE as the front-line hub for families, community organizations, and businesses to connect to when engaging with the Springfield Public Schools. Consistently communicate with stakeholders about what is happening. Serve as an outlet for schools and community members to connect. Help promote activities, initiatives, and events throughout the District and the City. Maintain social media accounts and a web page for FACE to communicate with families.
DUTIES:
- Facilitate the creation and implementation of a marketing plan that promotes the FACE teams, programs/initiatives, and events.
- Lead FACE communications plan, which includes public relations, social media and website management, and newsletter development.
- Play a lead role in the district’s annual Back-to-School Celebration by organizing volunteers, logistics, vendors, and budget/ purchasing procedures.
- Participate in planning, delivery, outreach, and evaluation processes for all Springfield Parent Academy courses and events.
- Coordinate any FACE recognition events for parents and community partners.
- Collect data to create a comprehensive report of FACE Center partnerships and activities.
- Foster a culture of high-level professionalism and customer service with families that come to the central office.
- Generate consistent community engagement opportunities for both partners and families.
- Facilitate professional development and team-building opportunities for Family liaison.
- Support the FACE office with administrative operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief of FACE.
- Manage the FACE department's databases and create forms as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/ university Preferred
- Experience in connecting schools to businesses and community organizations
- Must have outstanding ability to work within a team environment
- Proven MUNIS and database management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to identify needs of diverse populations and connect those needs to specific resources
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
