DUTIES:
1. Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Clinical and Behavioral Services.
2. Participate in weekly supervision with identified internship supervisor, per guidelines of DESE licensing and School Psychology program requirements.
3. Administer comprehensive psycho-educational assessments that address the areas of suspected disability, under the guidance of the supervising psychologist.
4. Write comprehensive and professional reports on assessment results that provide recommendations for services and supports to address areas of concern. These reports must be reviewed and signed by supervising psychologist.
5. Participate in 603 CMR Team meetings as an evaluator to help determine special education eligibility.
6.Work in collaboration with school adjustment counselors, principals and other staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Completed all requirements to be eligible for internship from an accredited college or university.
2. Working toward certification as a School Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
3.Working toward licensure as an Educational Psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Allied Mental Health is preferred (all levels).
4.Proven ability to work effectively with/for children and adults in a multi-cultural community.
5.Empathetic to the needs of young people and adults in the area of special needs. 6.Bilingual/Bicultural (Hispanic) is preferred, but not required.
