Description

DUTIES: 

  1. Work collaboratively with the District’s Student Information System team, contributing to our mission by supporting data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, improve data integration, and enable greater insight into our student information.
  2. Support the planning, preparation, translation, and execution of data flows and migrations between enterprise platforms.
  3. Monitor, configure, and support existing data integrations.
  4. Enhance, refactor, and test existing data integrations.
  5. Design and develop new data integrations.
  6. Support ongoing documentation and maintenance of data standards within the enterprise knowledgebase.
  7. Develop reports and data integrity checks to support compliance and remediation efforts.
  8. Evaluate student data and identify opportunities to improve data through governance.
  9. Perform end of year data processing.
  10. Assist with local, state, and federal reporting.
  11. Identify solutions to end-user requests for support and resolve technical problems.
  12. Handle additional duties and special projects in support of the Student Information System team
  13. Report to the Student Information System Manager.
  14. Perform related work as assigned by the Chief Information Officer, Director of Information Management, or Superintendent. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology discipline preferred.
  2. Background with one or more programming languages.
  3. Experience with SQL is preferred.
  4. Experience with database management systems.
  5. Experience with data analysis.
  6. Experience with systems development lifecycle or agile development methodology is preferred.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent written/communication skills.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Demonstrated ability to perform effective self-directed work.
  11. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  12. Ability to facilitate meetings.
  13. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  14. An understanding of application security and authentication.
  15. Knowledge of flow-charts and process diagrams.
