DUTIES

  1. Work collaboratively with the District’s Student Information System team, contributing to our mission by developing, implementing, and supporting the procedures to effectively manage student information.
  2. Perform business process analysis.
  3. Understand project scope, inputs, outputs, reporting requirements.
  4. Develop related project documentation and manage project plans.
  5. Maintain project status and priorities with project owners, planning and tracking of tasks, schedule, resources, dependencies, and success criteria.
  6. Identify solutions to end-user requests for support and resolve technical problems.
  7. Develop end-user documentation and knowledgebase articles.
  8. Provide training for end-users where needed.
  9. Maintain and establish standards and techniques to assure data quality, security, and integrity of student information.
  10. Coordinate student information system software update releases.
  11. Perform adequate testing of all changes and modifications.
  12. Determine impact and strategy for required updates to procedural documents or training.
  13. Report to the Student Information System Manager.
  14. Perform related work as assigned by the Chief Information Officer, Director of Information Management, or Superintendent.

   

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Information Technology discipline preferred.
  2. Strong understanding of business requirements and translation of those to technical requirements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to implement project management concepts and strategies.
  4. Experience with database management systems.
  5. Experience with Systems Development Lifecyle or agile development methodology is preferred.
  6. Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change management.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent written/communication skills.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Demonstrated ability to perform effective self-directed work.
  11. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  12. Ability to facilitate meetings.
  13. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  14. An understanding of application security and authentication.
  15. Knowledge of flow-charts and process diagrams.
