Description: Work with academic teacher to support their teaching/ activities and provide
additional tutoring/support to students as needed.

Responsibilities depending on the position:

  • Academic tutoring.
  • Assist with academic organizing and planning.
  • Assist with making copies.
  • Assist with activity coordination.
  • Assist with student work reviews.
  • Mobility around the school facility
  • Able to go up and down stairs
  • Recycling as directed
  • Ability to list up to 20 pounds
  • Janitorial work
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies


Internship location: John J. Duggan Academy / Springfield Museum / Western New England
University / Freedman Elementary


Expected hours: varies depending on the student’s schedule and internship assignments not
to exceed 10 hours per week.


Dates: from 09/24/2024 to 01/23/2025 for Semester 1 - 2/04/2025 – 06/12/2025


Rate of pay: $15 dollars per hour.


Total number of students expected to hire: 10
