DUTIES:
1. Performs word processing, typing and proofreading of letters, documents and memorandums of more than average difficulty from clear copy, rough draft, recording machines or data personally developed.
2. Welcomes visitors, responds to their inquiry and/or directs them to the appropriate person.
3. Operates copying machines to duplicate various forms, bulletins and notices.
4. Organizes and maintains office files.
5. Maintains inventories of books, supplies and materials used in the school and prepares requisitions for new material as required.
6. Answers the telephone and performs any other tasks as directed by the Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility.
2. Bilingual Preferred
3. High School Graduate.
4. Knowledge of standard alphabetic and numeric filing system.
5. Ability to work accurately with names, numbers, codes, and symbols and file material according to established procedures.
6. Demonstrated ability to type, word process and proofread letters and documents of average difficulty.
7. Strong organizational and interpersonal relations skills.
8. Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with supervision.
9. Willingness to work on the schedule that coincides with the hours of the school assigned.
10. Must be a resident of Springfield
